Residence

(TRC)

What is TRC?

Temporary Residency Card (TRC*) or Vietnamese residence permit acts as an identity card and entry visa to Vietnam.

This document is issued by the Vietnamese immigration authority to a foreign person who is allowed to reside in Vietnam for a certain period of time.

With a residence permit, you can significantly reduce both the time and costs typically spent on frequent visa applications and renewals while living in Vietnam. Residence cards are available for periods ranging from 1 to 10 years and may be granted to investors, shareholders, foreign nationals holding a Vietnamese work permit, as well as immediate family members—such as spouses, parents, and children under 18—of a resident card holder. Please note, a residence card cannot be issued if your passport is valid for less than one year.
